The Arts Theatre puts on a wide variety of plays by touring and local companies, including student productions. Many of the UK’s finest actors started their career at the Arts.

But the main venue for student theatre is the ADC Theatre which, during term time, often puts on two (or more) different productions a night. The quality may be uneven, but the enthusiasm is never lacking.

During the summer, the Cambridge Shakespeare Festival puts on a series of open air productions, mostly in college gardens. The experience can range from the magical to the very wet – we can loan guests rugs and brollies!
